Hello!

I'm Kaitlin and and I'm the author of Your Teacher's Aide!

Until the birth of my son, I was a full-time teacher who desperately needed a second set of hands in the classroom. Now that I'm a stay-at-home mom, I'd love to be your Teacher's Aide.

Here's just a bit about me:

I am the blessed mom of four beautiful kids, the lucky wife of my handsome hubby, and the undeserving recipient of my Heavenly Father's unconditional love.

(Here's a pic from way back when. I love my kiddos faces in this picture. They look like they're saying 'I think I might be sick!')

I definitely am might be addicted to Pinterest. Seriously, what did I do with all the extra hours in my day before I met this lovely little site?! Oh yes, now I remember: I actually did crafty things and made yummy recipes instead of JUST pinning them ;)

And last, but not least, I LOVE to read! Though lately, I've been spending more time on the aforementioned Pinterest instead of cracking open the pages of a well-written novel. Hmmm...that might have to change soon...

The Story Behind Your Teacher's Aide:

When I decided to resign my teaching position and stay at home with my kids, I knew I would still need some sort of teaching-related outlet so I wouldn't go into withdrawal. I also knew that I wanted to do something that would make me feel like I was still helping my husband contribute to the bottom line of our household (that's just how I'm wired). I looked into a lot of options and decided that these were the two best ways I could do this from home:
  • Share simple, but effective ideas on a teacher-focused blog.
Thus, this site was born! It is my goal to make Your Teacher's Aide an informative and positive place for teachers to find resources that will benefit their classroom.

Thank you for stopping by Your Teacher's Aide. Together, I hope we'll be able to discover oodles of new ways to make your classroom a success.
